Reprints and Enlargement
Information
General notes about enlargements.
Any of our prints can be obtained as enlargements or reprints. There
is no time limit for ordering! We have kept all negatives from old events
we in a permanent archive, and digital image files are kept permanently
too! For print sizes and a list of our prices, please see the
order form.
Selective Enlargements
We can enlarge selective sections of the photos for print sizes up
to 16"x12" (if required). For 30"x20" posters these will be made from
substantially the whole image.
Image Files
Image files are available in two sizes. You can
have the full image files as taken on the day (these are generally
12 mega pixels) and are supplied on a CD Rom to avoid overloading
email systems. Alternatively, we can supply web sized images by
email. These images are 640 pixels on the long dimension and
optimised ready for web use. You will find both options available on
the online order system, and will need to supply the image reference
from the back of the print.
Delivery
Please allow 3-4 working days in the lab for all orders. Please allow
up to two weeks for 30"x20" posters. All orders are sent by first class
post unless you request otherwise. Print sizes up to 12x8 are sent flat
in board backed envelopes, and larger print sizes are sent in cardboard
tubes. Orders over £50 will be sent by recorded delivery and require
a signature for receipt. If at any time you receive a print damaged
in the post (it is very rare, but it can happen) we will ask you to
return the damaged print, and we will replace it with a fresh copy.
'Digital' Prints and Computer Scans
Digital prints are computer enhanced photographs where we can superimpose
photographs together (such as a portrait of the competitor), add text,
include sponsors logos etc. Please ask for further details, or to discuss
your requirements.
Digital printing is also used for restoration of old photographs. We
can offer this service too! We can supply digital files of our photographs
(including scans from negatives for older events shot on film). Please call to discuss
your requirements.
